Bush's Hilarious Teleconference

By now everyone has heard about the "rehearsed" teleconference that President Bush had with members of the Army. The fact that these are scripted isn't a surprise, but, the fact that the public actually got to see the rehearsal is what is so shocking here.

My favorite part of the teleconferece was the Iraqi soldier, Sergeant Akeel, who was there for the following dialog:
THE PRESIDENT: Yes. Sergeant Akeel, thanks for joining us. I appreciate -- appreciate your service. You've got something to say, Akeel?

SERGEANT AKEEL: Good morning, Mr. President. Thank you for everything. Thank very much for everything.

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, you're welcome.

SERGEANT AKEEL: I like you. (Laughter.)

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I appreciate that.
